Fees
How our consultations are priced
Fees are fixed or quoted for a defined piece of advice work. They are informational starting points — complex pension histories, overseas elements, or joint households may require a bespoke quote after the introductory call.
| Consultation | Starting fee | What shapes the final figure |
|---|---|---|
| Comprehensive financial planning | From £1,450 | Number of pensions, self-employment income, and whether both partners are advised |
| Pension review session | From £650 | Number of pots and whether safeguarded benefits need specialist analysis |
| Protection needs assessment | From £395 | Household complexity; separate arrangement fees if you ask us to place cover |
| Pre-retirement cashflow workshop | £980 / £1,250 | Individual versus couple workshop; follow-on implementation support quoted separately |
What the fee covers
Meeting time, document review, recommendation drafting, and the follow-up call included in that consultation’s scope. Travel for agreed office meetings within our usual area is included; longer journeys are discussed first.
What sits outside
Accountancy filings, legal drafting, discretionary investment management, and product provider charges. If we arrange a policy, insurer premiums and any disclosed commission or fee offset are explained before you apply.
Payment & timing
An invoice is issued on engagement acceptance. For planning work above £1,000 we may request a 40% booking deposit, with the balance due when the written plan is delivered. Card and bank transfer are accepted. These figures are not a checkout — they help you budget before requesting a consultation.
Do you charge a percentage of assets?
Our standard consultations are fixed-fee. Ongoing advice, if separately agreed, is quoted as a periodic fee rather than a silent percentage of investments.
Is the introductory call charged?
No. The short suitability conversation is complimentary so neither side commits blindly.
Can fees be paid from a pension?
Only where the provider and advice type allow adviser charging from the scheme, and only with your explicit authority. Many clients prefer to pay personally.
