Terms of engagement

These terms apply to visitors of query-insight.digital and to clients who engage Pennycroft Financial Guidance for financial advice and consulting services in the United Kingdom. By using this site or accepting an engagement letter, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance

Accessing the site constitutes acceptance of these terms. Commissioning a consultation additionally requires a signed or otherwise accepted engagement letter that may contain terms specific to that piece of work. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or instruct us.

Services described online

Pages describing consultations, fees, and processes are general information. They do not themselves create an adviser–client relationship. A relationship begins only when both parties accept an engagement letter and any required suitability checks are complete.

Intellectual property

Site content, branding, and written materials we produce for marketing remain the property of Pennycroft Financial Guidance unless stated otherwise. Client reports produced under an engagement may be used by you for your personal financial decisions; they may not be republished or resold. You may not copy site materials for commercial use without written permission.

Accuracy of information

We aim to keep educational articles current, but tax rules, state pension ages, and product features change. Journal content is not personalised advice. You remain responsible for decisions taken without an engagement.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content alone. For regulated advice delivered under an engagement, liability is governed by that engagement, applicable professional rules, and mandatory consumer protections that cannot be excluded. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses except where the law forbids such limitation.

Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and documents for any consultation. Delays or omissions may affect the quality and timing of recommendations. Fees remain payable for work already performed in line with the engagement and our refund policy.

Links to GOV.UK, providers, or other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from use of the site or our services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights you may have in your place of residence within Great Britain.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from the date of posting. Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated as required by the engagement letter.
